Man, I could get used to this rain thing. After three years of drought, it's finally raining again, and it is so much cooler outside. Maybe we won't have 100°+ weather this year (or 40°+ weather for those who are correct).

Above is the commission I did for Speedball of the characters from his comic, The Dragon Doctors. I added the dragon in the background for awesome. ^_^ The characters are from left to right: Sarin, Aki, Goro, Kili, and Mori.

The Dragon Doctors are specialists in different mystical and scientific fields who go adventuring and solve problems. They also get permanently transgendered in their first adventure. When I started the commission, I drew them all as girls since most of them are male-to-female. (I guess I had girls on the brain. ^_^;; ) So when I sent the pencils to Speedball to show him the progress, he reminded me that Mori is female-to-male. Whoops.

Fifteen minutes later, Mori's a male! It doesn't take much to transgender a character. Just move the weight around and make the features more sharp. Instant male! Works the same way in reverse, except you soften the features. Fortunately, Speedball was OK with my mistake and my fix. ^_^;; (He even posted the mistake on his comic!)

Man, today is flying by. Back to work, I guess. Later!

You have to let go.

Storyboard is finished! On to the pencils! It took a while with this storyboard because I had to juggle a lot and make the layout work. You'll see what I mean when the issue comes out. It's heating up!

Here's the "Not Free Webcomic Day" cover without all the markings. I think I like it better with the markings. I like where my flat style is going. I can see flaws though. Oh well... ^_^;;

Another storm is on the way. Batten down the hatches!

Protect the harvest!

Well, it's the last day of April, and it's hot... Oh well, it's going to rain, so it'll be nice for a few days. Above are the herbs I got at a plant sale a few weeks ago. They're doing pretty well! I forgot how much fun it is to grow plants. They just grow, and you sit back and get awesome garlic butter with tons of herbs. Well, you have to water and occassionally feed them, but otherwise, easy. Clockwise from the back: oregano, rosemary, SAGE, and basil. Yum!

This guy popped out of the bushes while I was taking pictures of the herbs. He watched me the entire time.

I'm still working on things, so I don't have much to show. ^_^;; I drew this at Kami-Con. It reminds me of an X-Men cover.

Back to work!

Perfect wind.

Whee! Kami-Con 2009 was a blast! We had a good old time down in T-town, and it was not football related! Here's a view from my table in the Artists' Alley. You can see my new crocheted cupcake, Big Blue Thunder, in the foreground. The girl across the way, Froggy Skyttles, is the one who made him. Man, she was fast with the hook! She needed to be because those cupcakes were selling like hotcakes, or maybe cupcakes. ^_^

And here I am at the table. That's the demo for the USB comic archive to the right of me. There was one kid who kept coming back to look at the 3D Holiday Special, so I gave him a pair of glasses.

One of the cool things they had at the con was a Maid Cafe. There were a lot of good maid costumes, and the tea was really good. I felt relaxed as I sipped tea, ate cookies, and was served by the maids. I felt like I was in a harem anime!

The Japanese maid's outfit was awesome. She diligently manned the shirt table.

C-C-CUTE!!

I herd u liek Mudkips! I got to see Chewibunny again, and she posed with me for a pic. Her art is so cute! I bought a pic of Batman happily saying, "My parents are dead!" That's going above the desk.

I've got Fever stuck in my head! This guy was pretty awesome, and his Wario and Dr. Mario costumes were perfect.

Uh oh... Pedobear was everywhere this weekend. Here he is thinking he has caught some lolis. Joke's on him! (Or is it...? O_O;; )

Pedobear has merged with a loli! I am confused! O_O;;;;;;;;

So that's it! I had a lot of fun, and I'm definitely going back next year. You should too! Thank you, Bama SoS Brigade, for a great con!

A small jump.
