Howdy, everyone! It's been a while, huh? I've been really busy lately. I'd love to show you what I'm working on, but sadly it's either for someone else or spoilertastic. I could take some screenshots of the new SGVY issue, but I'm almost done. I think I won't now. Instead, I've got a lot of Animal Crossing: City Folk screenshots that I've been meaning to post. Damn Pelly can't mail more than one a day, so I had to go to the Wii, pull out the SD card, and put it into my laptop. SO FUCKING HARD... Anyway...

I've shown the Valkyrie Yuuki costume before, but...

Here's the back! I think the bow turned out pretty good. It's very popular with my animals right now.

I did this one today. Yes, you too can be a student of Montrose Academy East! Come on down to Montrose!

And here's the back of the Montrose Girl costume. I think it turned out OK.

Here's the Montrose Boy costume. It's OK looking. The back is kind of boring. I did put the Montrose Crest on the shoulder. It's small and gold with no detail though.

Here's some random shots I liked as well:

The Beak makes everything creepy! I like this pic because it's just odd.

ROLL TIDE!

(And there is an animal in the Valkyrie Yuuki costume.)

...

Brewster, being awesome.

And that's it!

The combinations!

It's been raining a lot lately, which is good since it's been so dry, but it's not so good because all sorts of beasties have been coming out because of the rain, like the guy above.

I was reaching under my bed for one of Cacao's toys, when I felt something slimy on my arm. I screeched and looked down to see this pus-like thing. At first I thought it was a huge mucus ball, which is gross and I had no idea where it could come from, but then it moved. I thought it was a leech at first, but then two little antennae popped out. It's a slug!

I carried the little guy outside and then came back in to clean up the slime trail he left behind on the rug. I've never seen one so big, about an inch and a quarter. Well, I've seen a banana slug, but I've never seen the little brown ones get this big. Weird.

I've been playing, uh, working with my Cintiq lately, and I'm getting better. I think I've got it calibrated right and have the correct working position. It makes poor Braeburn run hotter than usual when I use it (I suspect the video card is working hard), but other than that, no problems. I've already produced a few works, like the New Year's pic on SGVY and this:

Um... Yeah... It's weird. I don't know what the hell happened with this pic. I think it's due to me getting better with the Cintiq as I progressed, so the head being first suffered while the body turned out OK. Eh, whatever. My first attempts with a new tablet usually look weird, like this one I did with my first tablet. (Though honestly, the subject matter on both was weird to begin with. ^_^;; )

I think the piece I'm working on right now will turn out OK. Let's hope!

FIRST!
OH MY GOD...

IT'S A MOTHERFUCKING CINTIQ.

Whee! Harry Lime and my dad got me a Cintiq for Xmas! This thing rules so freaking much! I CAN DRAW ON THE SCREEN. But I'm getting ahead of myself...

Here's all the goodies that come with it. It has a lot of wires, but that's fine. It's too big to carry around anyway. I'm never leaving my room again. I'm just going to work. That's fine by me! It took me a minute to figure out how to hook the DVI up because I had never seen this particular pin configuration before. After that...

IT RULES!! I can draw on the screen! I had to spend a while calibrating it. Apparently you can offset the cursor to allow yourself to see the cursor in front of the pen nib. Pfft. I know where my hand is. I did have a stupid moment when I wondered where the mouse was. I'm too used to the Intuous. ^_^;;

I'm going to play around with it for a while to get used to it and decide what's the best drawing position. This is very important, yes. I already assigned it its own background. (I really love this photographer, maro.) Now to get good at using it!

OK, let's get ready for the New Year!

THANK YOU!!

Well, another Xmas down. It was pretty excellent. I received some cool presents. Tom_Swan came down from Crazy Nirvana to give me the best tool EVAR: a titanium spork. What the fuck?! It's crazy awesome! I cannot break this damned thing! There's a warning that it will scratch glass. AWESOME. I gave him what I previously thought was the most awesome gift ever, Chrono Trigger for the DS (half the price of the original SNES version!). He handed me the poster from the package and then re-ascended to Crazy Nirvana. At least that's how I remember it. Godspeed, Tom_Swan.

I'll probably have a thing about the making of the 3D Holiday Special this week. Maybe. I don't know. Yeah, OK, I'll do it.

Hope y'all are doing well out there and are having a fun time. Be safe and warm!

It's finally here.
