This sketch is from sometime in early December last year. I found it when I was updating the plot line for SGVY (I figured something out; what, I will not reveal). Any way, this one started out as some SGVY sketches and ended up with Rowan. The little girl in his lap is Dusk. Rowan found her and has become her guardian.

I refer to Rowan's story as "Mott 51" or "The Shaman", though I am unsure what I will eventually call it. I hope to work on his story one day. Until then, I'll rerun it over and over in my head so that I remember it. What is it about? Eh, I'd rather not say right now. It's still evolving. SGVY stayed in my head for three years before I actually started it. It evolved a lot during such time. One day I'll dig up a drawing of the proto-Yuuki.

And who is "???!!"? It is too early to reveal. ^_^

IT'S SMASH BROS. TIME, BITCHES!
So I got Super Smash Bros. Brawl today. Well, technically one of my friends did, but since his Internet connection sucks and he has to run an update to play, he let me borrow it till mine comes (stupid Best Buy). Oh my god, it's awesome. There are new characters, but I'll stick with my woman Peach, thank you very much. I will admit that I'm not that good, but that's probably since I haven't played Smash Bros. in a long while. ^_^;; I'll go find out what my friend code is later. If you've got the game, email me your friend code so we can smash it up. (That sounds wrong...)

Originally this post was going to be about the new issue of SGVY, but I got caught up in Smash Bros. OK, so if you haven't seen the new issue which begins the new edda, go check it out. You checked it out? OK, here we go...


This is the summoning circle from the final panel on page 3 of the new issue. Yup, it's a kitty. ^_^ Freya has kitties, so I thought I throw that in. The kitties will eventually show up in the comic. I've already got their character designs done. Stay tuned!

Love to go play some Smash Bros., but I've got a LEARN, commissions, and the next comic to work on. Oh well, drudge along.

HAPPY GIRLS' DAY!
I remember Girls' Day, or Hinamatsuri, from when I lived in Japan. All the girls at school wore kimono (without obi because we were silly Americans) and went out for ramen. Lots of fun. Tamimatsu-sensei, our Japanese Culture teacher, would put the dolls on display in her classroom as well. I remember being schooled by some elderly Japanese women one year because I had my kimono crossed the wrong way (I was dead apparently ^_^;; ).

Today's sketch is for the Montrose Academy Forums at the Piggy Farm. A new person to the board mentioned that Odin looks like Scatman John. I didn't know Scatman had passed away. Who will scat for us now?!

Working hard on the next issue. I'm inking right now, and it's going pretty fast. Keep the pace!

I just wanted to at least post on the Leap Day. Another four years!
