Today is the day that I got married three years ago! Hooray! I will be celebrating tonight.

A new edda of Yuuki will begin with the next installment, so I'm working on the splash page. I'll probably have it done tomorrow, so then I can start working on the actual issue. Woo! I'm aiming for Monday. Wish me luck!

I can't believe it can't be smaller.

Working on the new chapter of Yuuki. I'm finally going to do it: two issues a month. *gasp* I know! The impossible! It will happen. I know it. I can do this. Let's go!

I'm sure you're wondering who that is above, and you will know soon. I worked on it during the CNN Debate. I know, fun. I like cable news. It's good background noise, and you can get angry and yell at it. That helps the drawing process. Trust me.

Back to the girl, I'm not going to show the whole sketch, just a peek. I should have it done pretty quickly. I'm going to have fun coloring it!

The About page here at Montrose has been updated! My husband took this picture this afternoon. It's not retouched. The glow is really nice. Ahh...

I'm liking my new desk. I lower my chair for when I'm working on art and raise it when I'm typing. I never knew sitting in a chair was so great! My back is starting to feel much better. I guess that's why Jesus invented the raised table.

Fire, fire, FIRE!!

I like painting fire. I guess I'm painting. I use a brush in Photoshop. Anyway, fire is fun to paint. I don't know if it looks good to others, but I think it looks good. I usually use four colors and up to three layers to achieve the effect. I don't know why Freya got associated with fire in the comic, but I think it has to do with her personality. She is the goddess of passion, after all. It's weird since... Oh wait, you don't know that yet. Never mind.


I meant to include this sketch with the first post, but somehow I forgot. I was thinking of using this Yuuki for the new SGVY website, but I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe, but I think a more solemn Yuuki might look better for the design I'm calling "Dawn Made of Water." A happier Yuuki might be better since Yuuki is a comedy, but I swoon whenever I think of a strong, stoic Yuuki. Aaahhhh... So beautiful!

It's a beautiful sunny day after much rain and migraines! If it's sunny where you are, go enjoy some coffee in the sun for me. I can't today.
