Taking a break! It feels like I've been working non-stop for the past week. Whew! I'm getting ready for Katsucon 16 this Friday. I still have a few things to do. I think the table should be pretty cool when I'm done.

Above you can see the iPad shirt I made in Animal Crossing: City Folk. I was so inspired by Apple's new product, I made a design! It was kind of easy since the iPad is so simple looking. LOL.

I really like how the back turned out. ^_^

Well, back to work. Gotta go refresh my browser a few hundred times.

I want to believe.

Well, we are gathered here today to mourn the passing of Blogger's FTP service. It served SGVY well for seven years, but now, we have to let go. Well, we're being forced to, but still... Fortunately, there's the Sketchbook software which will be taking up the slack...

Wait, why am I mourning? Blogger sucks! I've had nothing but fits with it, especially when making mini-stores. That's why I had Sketchbook made in the first place! I wanted something that wasn't buggy and worked the way I wanted. Oh well! Good bye, Blogger!

Above is a banner I've been working on. The original file is a vector, and it's huge, 33.5"x79". It took a while to get the text just right. I really like the big bold "SGVY". Also, not a bad Yuuki. ^_^

Next week is Katsucon! Whee!

Like talking to the wall, it's cold.

Just when I though I had escaped winter, it's coming back with a vengeance this weekend. Bring it, General Winter!!

Above is a sketch I did the other day for my new banner. Gotta start getting ready for cons! I need to work on my table and some other cool things. I'll keep y'all up to date here and on SGVY.

And now for something educational:

How to Synch Colors in Photoshop CS4 Between the Monitor and Cintiq

So, are you a Cintiq user who just noticed that when you're using CS4 that Photoshop fucks up the color on the Cintiq while it's fine on your LCD monitor (be it monitor or laptop screen)? Well, you're not alone. When I upgraded to Snow Leopard, the colors weren't quite right in Photoshop on the Cintiq screen. When I moved the pic from the monitor to the Cintiq, colors would be wrong, and when I moved it back, they were fine again. So, I went on frenzy to find out what the hell was going wrong. No one on the Internet had a clue, and updating my drivers and messing with my monitor settings in OS X did no good. Then, I realized this was once again all Photoshop's fault.

To fix the problem, go to Edit in the toolbar and select "Color Settings".

Next, click "More Options". This will expand the settings window.

You should now see a checkbox with "Desaturate Monitor Colors By:" next to it. Click the checkbox and set the percentage to zero. Yeah, that's stupid, but it works. As you can see, I went ahead and saved my profile as fuckyouverymuch.csf so that I can pull it up in future if Photoshop crashes or I have to reinstall it. I highly recommend that you do so as well to save yourself headaches.

Click OK, and voilà! Your Monitor and Cintiq are in synch! HOORAY!!

Well, that's it! I hope this helps out. After the difficulty I had figuring this out, I figured some of you out there might appreciate some help. Good luck!

Snow in my room.

He knows when you are sleeping... Wow, we've got a big post today. Let's get to it!

If you haven't seen it yet, the newest issue of SGVY, SWANBALL (11.7), is out! Please go check it out! I went a bit experimental on this one. I like the expressionist feel a lot, and the colors, oh the colors! I discovered a watercolor brush and decided to use it for the action scenes. I think it turned out OK. Pages 3 and 4 look better than pages 1 and 2, and I think that's due to 3 and 4 being a two-page spread so the action flows a little better. Like I said, it was experimental, and I like playing around with styles occasionally.

Since he has no clothes on, I guess this picture of Yuuki with a Waffle on His Head could be considered NSFW, so click at your peril! LOL. So I was on Montrosechat recently, and Guno and I were sketching stuff when we got on the subject of waffles. I was inspired to do some Waffle Porn. This isn't really porn, so I guess it could be called a Waffle Pin-up.

Back to Animal Crossing! I was really busy this Holiday season, so I neglected my town and lost all of my flowers. Fuck. I forgot to use the Wii clock trick to time travel back to when I had flowers. Instead, like an idiot, I logged right into my ACCF account. Argh... Oh well, it'll be fun to work on getting back my fields of flowers.

This is incorrect. There are plankton in lakes. Go check it out. You wouldn't think it because the most famous of all plankton, krill, doesn't live in freshwater, though some of their relatives do. Beef up on your science, Nintendo Treehouse!

Here we see a pirate, Link, and Samus all hanging out on my second floor. Maybe the pirate is Ruby Heart, and this is ultimate crossover: Marvel vs. Capcom vs. Animal Crossing vs. Smash Bros.: Hyper Millenium Fighter Gold Happy Go Lucky Let's Go! 2010 Edition. Awesome!

Everytime I see this pic, I keep thinking, "Daddy, what's Vietnam?" I have no idea why.

Finally got the lighthouse! The windmill, the other choice when you donate a lot of money to the town, is pretty cool, but I think it would look weird by the beach. A lighthouse makes sense. Plus, it lights up at night. Ahem...

There's a picture opposite me
Of my primitive ancestry
Which stood on rocky shores and kept the beaches shipwreck free
Though I respect that a lot
I'd be fired if that were my job
After killing Jason off and countless screaming Argonauts

Those Who Might Possibly Be of Larger than Average Stature

I think this might be the best photo I've ever taken in ACCF. It looks 3D to me even now.

Well, that's it! I'll post again soon!

Though the sky is angry outside right now, I dream of Blue Skies in Video Games.
